We’re all about living as clean as possible in order to achieve a healthy and balanced lifestyle. This includes not only the supplements that we take, but the foods that we consume on a regular basis. There is absolutely no need for much of the fillers or processed ingredients that are so readily available in today’s society. We understand it’s the convenience factor, but moving forward we’ll be showing you some quick, healthy, and clean meals that you can prep to help you live a healthy lifestyle.
Today we’ll focus on one of our newest favorites, The Organic Avocado Chickpea Smash.
This is so easy to make if you have a food processor. If not, you could always try your blender, but a food processor really helps with the ease in prepping.
1 can chickpeas (we recommend organic and in a BPA Free can)
Hefty handful of parsley
Hefty handful of cilantro
Hefty Handful of spinach
1 celery stalk diced
2 branches of green onions diced
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp fresh ground black pepper
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 lemon or lime juiced (I use whatever I have on hand and add some zest as well)
All ingredients are then blended in a food processor. You can scoop over gluten free or sprouted grain bread, grilled with olive oil drizzle topped with cucumbers, tomato, radish, or your favorite veggies. Or you can simply eat as a dip with quinoa flax chips.
Optional adds: Some people like raw red onion so you can add that if you desire. Also if you want cheese add 1/4 cup of grated parm or feta crumbles if you like.
This meal literally takes about 10 minutes to make and you’ll be receiving loads of nutrition that will keep you feeling full and satisfied for hours.
