A new year begins today and in order to make it your best year yet, changes will most likely have to be made in your life.
This is a time to stop wishing. Stop hoping that you will see your dreams come true. Stop putting it off. No one else can do it for you. Start today and don’t look back!
1. STAY HEALTHY.
In order to have your best year yet, you must stay healthy. Now, there are always unforeseen injuries, or sicknesses, but you can do your best to prevent them. Choose a healthy lifestyle, eat clean, eliminate processed foods, sugars and alcohol. Keep your intake of breads and pastas to a minimum, as they are both way too overly processed in today’s society. Exercise daily, even if it’s just a brisk walk. And most importantly, don’t forget to take our Premium Omega-3 Plus. 2. DREAM BIG.
Set huge goals, but make sure that they are S.M.A.R.T. Goals (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Timely). Write them down, look at them everyday. Make a daily, weekly, monthly and year goal.
3. CHOOSE POSITIVITY.
Don’t let negative people drain you. Choose to rise above it all on a daily basis and be positive. You are completely in control of your attitude.
4. START NOW.
The most successful people don’t waste time. They make the most of every day. Start NOW.
5. THE LITTLE THINGS ADD UP.
Small choice + Consistency + Time = BIG results! It’s really that simple. You won’t reach all of your goals in January. Success isn’t instant. Push through the small, daily tasks and never give up!
6. READ, LISTEN, LEARN.
Take every opportunity you can this year to read a book or listen to a podcast that will push you towards your goals. People who improve themselves daily will see the greatest amount of growth.
7. FIND A MENTOR.
Find someone who you trust, who has been successful in the area where you feel called and who will help you grow. They will challenge you and push you outside of your comfort zone to help you reach your goals. You will be amazed at what a difference this will make in your life! (Also consider mentoring someone else in return.)
8. GET ACCOUNTABILITY.
Accountability will be the game-changer for you if you don’t already have it set up in your life. Find an accountability partner and commit to communicating with them daily. 9. GET INVOLVED.
Try something new. If you are tired of the same old things, you will greatly benefit from trying something new! Try a new fitness class, learn a new skill, make a new friend, start a business – anything that will allow you to improve yourself!
10. STOP THE BLAME GAME.
The life you have right now is because of choices you’ve made. Yes, we all have things that happen to us that are out of our control, but we choose what we do with TODAY. Your family can’t make your dreams happen – YOU DO. Take full responsibility for every choice and circumstance. Stop yourself when you feel an excuse coming on. This will put you in full control of your life and your year!
COMMIT
The first 10 tips don’t matter if you don’t commit to DOING them. Just like those extra pounds won’t fall off if you don’t DO the workout. Wishing and dreaming are nice, but won’t take you anywhere without action.
